CHECK-IN IN IM WANDEL
In spring 2023, a total of 20 new drop-off machines were installed and successfully put into operation. The special thing about this installation is that it was carried out during ongoing airport operations. This means that the work and adjustments were planned and carried out in such a way that air traffic and normal processes were not affected.
The new drop-off machines allow passengers to drop off their baggage independently and efficiently, which contributes to a faster and smoother check-in process. This is an important step towards modernizing the check-in process at the airport and meeting the increasing demands and expectations of passengers.
The “Check-In im Wandel” project demonstrates FRAPORT AG's innovative strength and commitment to continuous improvement in airport operations. It is an example of its ability to successfully implement complex projects, even under challenging conditions.
The German Design Council (Rat für Formgebung) from Frankfurt am Main has awarded the 1st prize for the overall project “CKI”: “Winner” for Building the future - check-in and self bag-drop installation; Check-in im Wandel am Terminal 1 (Fraport) (GDA2024-29024) in the category - Excellent Product Design - Public Design. Profluss is proud to be part of the entire team, which includes Fraport as the client, colleagues from Netzwerkarchitekten in Darmstadt and interior designer Marcus Pedersen from Copenhagen. The award ceremony took place at the end of January 2024.
Next 12 drop-off units will be installed in terminal 1, beginning of year 2025. Operation intend to start right in time before summer season.

The new team members bring fresh ideas, expertise and experience to their respective areas. In production, they will support production and help to ensure that our products are manufactured with the highest quality and efficiency. In design/project management, they are involved in the planning, implementation and monitoring of our projects to ensure they are completed successfully and on time.
SALES PARTNERSHIP WITH MARKET LEADER DÖNGES
Profluss is continuing its exclusive and long-standing successful sales partnership with Dönges GmbH & Co KG in Wermelskirchen. Roll containers for the THW, fire departments and other civil protection organizations are designed and built to customer specifications in Leichlingen. Both large series (several thousand units per year) and individual orders are realized.
